A Soul Mate tie is different from that of the Twin Flame. Whereas we each have only one twin flame, we can have many soul mates. Soul mates sometimes share a complementary calling in life. They are partners and helpmates who are often working to develop the same
virtues and to master the same chakras. These relationships tend to be harmonious and satisfying, and such kindred souls can accomplish great things together.
Twin Flame's and Soul Mate's both have intense energies, Twin Flame is the dynamite energy where Soul Mate is the Dynamo. Twin Flame is the explosion of energy where Soul Mate is the generator energy, that is the difference, and you seem to never disconnect your self from your Twin Flame in this or any other lifetime
When Soul Mates first meet they sometimes feel as if they already know each other. They may feel very familiar to each other. Soul Mates can have a beautiful relationship together, but it will take work. Soul Mate relationships may last a lifetime and others may only be for a particular purpose and be temporary. You can have more than one Soul Mate in a lifetime.
Then there is the Karmic Partner relationship. Here the two individuals are drawn together for the balancing of mutual Karma. The karmic tie may be the tightest of all and begin with the strongest attraction. This is because the soul has a deep yearning to be free, and has an inner knowing that this connection is a key to resolution through balancing karma that is often harsh, such as violence, hatred, or abandonment.
From time to time, there is a feeling of emptiness, a loneliness that reveals the inadequacy of a relationship based solely on Karma.
Although they are frequently difficult, these relationships are important in achieving self-mastery on the Spiritual Path.
Karma, put simply, is cause and effect, or action and reaction. The influence of past over present and how actions in a past life, predetermined the conditions in your present life and character.
Each life we live shapes our character and our future destiny in a way we seem to have little control over but are entangled with inescapably.
So, all relationships serve a purpose and should be honored and appreciated for what they have to offer you in your personal spiritual growth. Thank the person and the experiences for all that you've had the opportunity to learn and to teach. (see The 12 Initiations of Love)
